Dual Compound Coater has the ability to coat with different compound formulations on top and bottom. They are equipped with electrically heated rolls for safer operation and better temperature control. The dual compound coater also has independent coating tanks for separation of top and bottom coatings, minimally sized coating tanks for better compound temperature stability and easier cleanout, and remote calendar and scraper adjustment provide greater accuracy and safer operation. Heated top curtain coating distribution application pans for even application of top coating onto reinforcement to reduce sheet tension and improve coating thickness quality. The rolls are driven by independent drive motors for greater process control.
