The membrane winder is where the finished modified bitumen membrane is guided onto a core and built into a uniform roll. As the material enters the winder, it is carefully guided and aligned before being wrapped around the core. The system manages tension throughout the process, allowing the membrane to be wound tightly enough to hold its shape without stretching or distorting the product.
As the roll builds, the winder continuously adjusts to maintain even edges and consistent material tension from start to finish. Operators can transition between rolls with minimal disruption, keeping material flow steady while ensuring each completed roll is clean, straight, and properly formed. By maintaining control through this final step, the winder helps deliver a product that is easier to handle, package, and install once it leaves the production line.
