Cooling takes place through a combination of water application, airflow, and contact with cooled rolls. As the mat moves across a series of rolls, water sprays are adjusted according to the material’s actual temperature rather than relying solely on line speed. Air systems help remove excess moisture while aiding in heat reduction, contributing to a cleaner and more controlled operating area.
