The innovative Nested Accumulator gathers free loops of finished membrane material for further air cooling, and to provide a continuous supply of finished material for winding and cutting.
The Nested Accumulator utilizes sets of rollers ranging in diameter from 7-7/8 in. to 11-7/8 in. to gather free loops of finished membrane material. The unit consists of a set of bottom rollers that are fixed while the top set is attached to a floating carriage.
This configuration allows for easy thread-up and for greater accumulation capacity within a given amount of space over traditional accumulators. Typically, the nested accumulator provides approximately 1.4 times the accumulation over a traditional accumulator.
A programmable electronic counterweight balancing system ensures consistent tension control of the membrane or reinforcement, thus eliminating stretch and the possibility of sheet breaks.
