Reichel & Drews’ Carrierless Membrane Production System is a bitumen waterproofing membrane production solution for manufacturing waterproofing membranes that do not have a saturated reinforcement such as fiberglass or woven polyester.
Our latest technology includes precision coating boxes combined with a high-efficiency cooling belt system that can enable you to produce multi-layered products manufactured to your exact membrane design. These coater boxes allow you to place a precise thickness of various compounds in sequence to produce membranes that are engineered to provide maximum value to your customers.
LAYERS, LAYERS, LAYERS
Capable of applying up to 3 layers of coating material
PRECISION
Coater is capable of accurate and consistent compound thickness
DISTRIBUTION
Dual-compound capabilitiesEven distribution of each bitumen compound layer
SURFACES
Top and/or bottom film, paper, and foil capabilities
FLEXIBILITY
Flexible to run many different compounds and membranes with different configurations
TENSION-FREE COATING
Coating layers formed on moving stainless steel belt – zero sheet tension
DRIVES AND CONTROL SYSTEM
Fully integrated to enable optimal reliability, production, and performance
The Film Unwind unit is located at the entry end of the cooling belt and applies polyethylene film or siliconized paper and bottom side selvage edge film to the cooling belt for application of bitumen coating.
The Coating Box Module is an advanced engineered coating application system that utilizes an electrically heated application box having no continuously rotating or moving parts.
The Cooling Belt performs several functions in the Carrierless Membrane System including cooling the base film while hot coating is being applied and also fully supports and transports the membrane thus eliminating tension during the coating application process.
The Nested Finished Product Accumulator gathers free loops of finished material to help provide a continuous cutting at a desired speed and/or accumulate material if downstream equipment is not running.
Wound rolls accumulate to a magazine in preparation for the rolls to be up-ended. Combining this with a pallet management system will make this process of palletizing rolls one of your most efficient processes.
