Our exclusive Winder control system operates under a highly intelligent program that monitors every aspect of the winding process and automatically makes adjustments to various drive parameters, in order to obtain a finished, consistently wound roll of precise length. The program continuously monitors the position of the Finished Product Looper (FPA) and driven shock roll (if equipped), as well as FPA pull roll speed, winder feed roll speed and mandrel speed. This constant monitoring and self adjustment assures that the product is delivered to the mandrel at a consistent tension thus eliminating sheet breaks, misthreads and sudden shock waves that effect length control, provides smoother overall operation of the mechanical systems thus reducing wear and tear. The electrical drives control system also senses any misfeed conditions and can quickly and automatically recover.
